[Bay Area] Computer History Museum - F*cking with Clusters

About [Bay Area] Computer History Museum

Previous Entry [Bay Area] Computer History Museum Jun. 2nd, 2028 @ 12:54 pm Next Entry
This Sunday, pabw and I are heading to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View to see the recently completed replica of the Babbage Difference Engine. There are several other neat, old bits of equipment on display, including core memory hanging from the ceiling and the teapot.

Anyone interested in joining us? We'll probably try to do lunch downtown sometime around noon and head to the museum at 2 or so.

I'd be up for it! I went once, but it was by myself and I'd really like to go see it with people who know a bit more about the significance of what they have. Plus, y'know, getting out and socializing. ;)

I really want a garment (some sort of cloak or vest?) fashioned from core memory, à la chain mail. Fashionable and functional, with +2 for the THAC0 and 128 kbits of nonvolatile storage, all in one!
