Cake toppers - F*cking with Clusters

About Cake toppers

Previous Entry Cake toppers Apr. 6th, 2020 @ 11:07 am Next Entry
morganlf's post inspired me to go looking for an interesting cake topper.

I don't know if this is really something you should be going for at a wedding, whereas
this one is scary (triumphant smile??)

Finally, this one is just a little bit disturbing.

I looked at a few too. I can't believe some of the things they're selling (and how much they're charging!)

seriously, cake-toppers are a mystery to me. I've found exactly one that I feel is acceptable:

Its certainly one of the most elegant I've seen, but then again I've seen a lot of really really awful ones today, so I don't necessarily know if my standards are any better. I think it also depends on the cake ..

Its true .. its nuts!

We're most likely going to go with a local choclatier to make chocolate people unless we find something cooler :-)

*laughs* Those were great! But perhaps only meant for the couples who cannot take themselves seriously... *smile*

Ha! We fought to not have a cake topper at our wedding. My cousins got married with a cake topper of two cows kissing.

My cousin's mother thought they'd chosen it just to piss her off :).

Don't I just? :P

Nah, no one you know. Just another LJ friend. She's also having T-shirts with that on it made as the wedding favor.

The Grateful Dead-esque topper certainly give a very tangible meaning to "death do us part"

I've seen one of those 'dragging the groom' ones, and it's on a white base that looks like fondant, and the groom's hands are "dug into the cake" and trailing scratch marks. While politically bizarre, it definitely is funny.

With respect to those first two and some of the others people have posted-- do these people actually want to get married? To each other?
