Dec. 2nd, 2027 @ 03:44 pm
Apropos of a conversation at krchicken
's due-date party last night:
What is the best Disney song to strip to?
Part of your World : Little Mermaid
Bippity Boppity Boo : Cinderella
Be Our Guest : Beauty and the Beast
Whole New World : Aladdin
Chim-Chiminee : Mary Poppins
Other (See my comment)
What Disney song would NOT work for stripping?
Is opening a Disney-themed strip club in Shijinssang Amusement Park a GoodIdea?
Are you accepting applications?

Of course, the overall winner is the Pinocchio slave song from the Muppet Show episode we watched later that night. I can't find a link, so you'll just have to ask krchicken
to borrow her copy if you're interested.
Current Music: Hölderlin Fragmente: VI. Fragment 17: Empedokles auf dem Ätna

I'm thinking "Friend Like Me" from Aladdin
would be a hilarious soundtrack to a strip/burlesque number. "Can your friends do this?/ Can your friends do that?/ Can your friends pull this/ Out their little hat?"
And so on...

Anything from Mary Poppins would be fabulous, particularly if you started off dressed as her. Or Bert.
For some reason I think several of the Robin Hood songs would be fun, but maybe it's because I'm completely nuts. Also Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Actually, that title song could be quite fun/funny.
Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin all annoyed me, so stripping to those had better be highly mocking, or I would be very put off.

I'm assuming all of these would be at least way over the top if not outright mocking.

"Prince Ali" from Alladin.
Then again, Alladin is the only disney musical I've watched in the last ten years or so, so mine may not be the most valid opinion.

``Prince Ali'' over ``Chim-chiminee''?! But ``Chim-chiminee'' has pole dancing!
|Date:||December 3rd, 2007 04:20 am (UTC)|| |
See my caveat. The only concept I have of "Chim-chiminee" at the moment is from the Disney Rave Stepmania set.
But really. "Prince Ali, mighty is he, Ali Ababwa! Strong as ten regular men, definitely!"
I was thinking "Prince Ali" for the male stripper half of things. Also the Rescue Rangers theme song.

|(Link)|Also the Rescue Rangers theme song.
I can't believe I didn't think of that.

Hmm.. maybe it could be a foreigners only thing.

Mulan - "I'll Make a Man out of You". Awesome.
or 101 Dalmatians - "Cruella De Vil".

Also, I want a video-game-themed strip club. Metroid. Zelda. Princess Peach. I would pay double.
Indeed. Heck, even I'd be interested in seeing that, especially if they had arcade cabinets you could play during the show.
Of course, E3 wasn't too far off from being a video-game strip club...
Heck, Metroid would even be canonical :-)

It'd have to be underground, because there ain't no way you're getting the rights to that.
Would it just be the costume and then a standard show? Or would they work the character into the act somehow? Like, would Peach have, um, mushroom props or something?

You win on songs that won't work. ::brain broken after trying to picture it::
Several of the suggestions for "not a good song to strip to" seem like reasonable ones....
I think Hakuna Matata would work pretty well... I don't know why though. Something about... ma tatas...

Have you been reading my FoF page?
Nope, they've been reading yours.

As I told you in person, I should introduce you to A when she visits again... I think you two would get along well :)
After much thought...I think "Poor Unfortunate Souls" would be a fantastic song to strip to!
