So, I promised my grandmother I'd wear this necklace she sent me, with an "Om" ( no, *NOT* Ohm ) symbol on it. For those who don't know, its a quasi-religious Indian symbol that dates back to pagan times.

Turns out, as a friend of mine kindly pointed out, the symbol derivated from a drawing of male genitalia. If he's right, I'm
wearing a figurative dick and balls on my neck.

A quick search pulls up some sites that confirm it, but nothing particularly trustworthy. But I have a suspicion that he's right.. so how am I going to explain this to my grandmother??

It doesn't help that I really like it as long as I don't think about that bit..
